I am by no means the only player to have experienced this annoying bugged controller issue while playing on RE6's Professional Difficulty mode - I have read countless online debates on this problem. Gamefaqs, Reddit, Steam, PlayStation Trophies, etc. may offer solutions that work for you, but only when I resorted (out of sheer desperation) to rotating the relevant PS4 controller buttons beneath the palm of one hand did I finally break this impasse.
