A 3-phase busbar connection distributes electrical power by connecting incoming phases (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3) to a common conductor (the busbar), from which multiple outgoing circuits tap off to power connected devices. In a typical setup, devices like circuit breakers or switch fuses are mounted onto the busbar tabs, with the neutral and earth conductors connected to separate earth and neutral bars. The incoming power is connected to the busbar, and outgoing cables for each phase, along with their associated neutral and earth wires, are then connected to the appropriate busbar tabs and bars, respectively.
These are the main conductors that carry the electrical current. In a 3-phase system, there are three main phase busbars (typically R, Y, B or Line 1, 2, 3) and sometimes a neutral busbar and an earth bar.
