The Scottish Parliament unanimously passed a bill to incorporate the rights of the United Nation Charter for Children's rights into devolved legislation. the Uk government's law officers referred to bill to the Supreme Court who held that certain aspects exceeded the powers of the devolved government.
In other words, the Uk government took the Scottish Parliament to court to prevent us protecting the rights of our children.
Here, MSP Michelle Thompson asks whether this was a legal or a politically motivated action.
