A mere eight days from the official start of spring, your hosts Kevin Derryberry and Ed Cole lead yet another edition of the Storm Report. The 21st episode of the 2023-24 academic year features ACU Softball and Women's Basketball.
Dayna Herrera and Abbit Covalt, freshman and junior softball players, take the stage first. The two discuss how their individual games have adapted this season, what it's like to work with their coaching staff, how they are inspired/strengthened by certain teammates, why they have played well on the road, and more.
Rusty Rogers, fifth-year head coach of Firestorm Women's Basketball, joins the program from the second and final segment. He celebrates the team's third-ever national championship berth, assesses keys to the First Round game against 7-seed Reinhardt (GA), reflects on what was one of the most testing yet rewarding seasons of his 40 seasons coaching, and much more.
