The ESEE Model 6 is a large survival knife with a blade made from 1095 carbon steel. Within the ESEE range this is one of the largest survival knives with which you can also carry out 'normal' tasks. With its 16.5 cm blade you can also use it for light chopping tasks.

The blade is made from 1095-carbon steel. The most important quality of this type of steel is its toughness. It is almost unbreakable. Another advantage is that 1095 carbon steel is easy to sharpen. Even when out in the field, with limited means, you can still easily sharpen your knife. The only thing you need to take into account is the corrosion resistance: 1095 is not stainless. Fortunately ESEE enhanced it with a thick Traction Coating.

The full tang blade is enhanced with a G10 handle. A 3D G10 handle. This was an answer to questions of enthusiasts. The traditional ESEE scales are flat and angular. These 3D scales are a lot more ergonomic. Because of the grooves you still have a lot of grip over the knife. With these scales the ESEE 6 has become a lot more versatile, even coming close to the traditional bushcraft knives.
