There are two paths left and right from the Lost Bastille Bonfire. This shows the left path up the stairs, where the hero will face 2 reapers (540 souls each), and 3 dogs (130 souls each). Use the broken column to go into the room with lots of lance using undead (180 souls each). This area is ideal for farming souls and leveling up around the level 50 to 60 region.

The right path will bring the hero to more dogs, and 1 reaper. The hero will farm souls at the Lost Bastille area until he gets to the boss and until the mobs disappear.
