Should you charge an hourly rate or flat rate? This is a debate. ON one hand charging a flat rate for your services can make you customers very happy, but on the other hand, you could lose your shirt doing it.
If you are starting a business, or in my case starting a moving business, it would be wise to charge an hourly charge until you get really good at your job and have all your systems and processes in place, then you can switch to flat rate charges.
In my business, I charge both hourly and flat rate. Maybe your business has this flexibility.
What flat rate means if you don't know is charging a one-time fee for your services. IT should be based on the time it will take you plus any materials and other expenses that may be involved.
