OM-9 Operating microscope comes with a renewed design where the cables are concealed in the body for a sleek and hygienic result. The operator’s workflow increases as the wires don’t interfere during the operation. Having a compact design comes with other benefits, such as being able to easily move the surgical microscope between operating rooms. With no cables in the way and a compact body, the workflow is improved, and the performance is maximised even when space is limited within small operating theatres.

High-intensity LED Light
One of the essential features of an operating microscope is the illumination system. OM-9 uses a high-intensity direct LED light source coupled with a new red reflex optical system to obtain a bright and sharp light reflected from the fundus with excellent colour balance. In addition to this, the blue LED wavelength is reduced with the blue correction filter to protect the patients’ eyes.

New Optical System
Having a high intensity system that allows for a clear vision during the operation is as crucial as having high-quality optics. OM-9 is an optimal choice for performing both cataract and vitreoretinal surgery thanks to 10x eyepieces of XZ configuration and 16x eyepieces of XE and SM configuration, which bring a wide and sharp view. OM-9 is also compatible with retinal viewing systems such as the Oculus BIOM, for an optimised performance.

Tiltable Binocular Tubes & Microscope Tilting Mechanism
OM-9 offers a full list of critical features that are indispensable for performing an accurate surgery, whilst providing comfort to the surgeon. OM-9 with tiltable binocular tubes can be inclined more than 90°, to adapt to the surgeons’ physical preferences. Not only that, the microscope head has the optimal ability to tilt back and forth by adjusting the interlock knob, with a wide movable range between -30 to +30 °.
