The National Trust is celebrating the achievements of a Birmingham community in helping nature to thrive as the legacy of the Blossoming Balsall Heath project continues.
During the 12-month project, 6,000 residents, including 500 school children, participated in Blossoming Balsall Heath. From gardening workshops and nature-themed craft sessions to planting 343 blossom trees and holding community picnics, Blossoming Balsall Heath has helped people connect with nature and each other.
In this film, find out more about the project and hear from local residents who took part. Local school children, residents and community volunteers share what it means to them to celebrate blossom and get closer to nature in their neighbourhood.
