Описание: History of Money, Lecture 32, Pt. C: overview of the currency system of the United Kingdom in the aftermath of World War I. The UK government and Bank of England elected to overvalue the pound sterling in the 1920s with the Gold Standard Act of 1925, much to the detriment of British industry and British exports. Other countries, notably France, joined the Gold Exchange Standard in the latter half of the 1920s.
