He who raised the mighty Govardhana, beloved Damodara!
O Supreme Lord Kesava of Guruvayur!
A playful child in Gokulam,
Your divine plays shaped th e Mahabharata
You stood by Arjuna, as charioteer and Guru
O protector of Your devotees, beloved Krishna!
O child Krishna, Govindhaa, protector of cows!
Hail, O divine child, the ever-blissful Gopaala!
Duryodhana asked for Your army
Your protection alone is enough, said Parthiban (Arjuna)
O Krishna, epitome of Dharma, O Compassionate One!
In Kurukshetra, where actions bear fruit at once
You guarded Yudhishtra’s lineage with Your divine gaze
With affection did a penniless Kuchela bring you beaten rice,
With love did You eat his offering, and bless him with riches like Kubera
Your eyes reveal infinite Truth
Bearing the conch and discus, Your vision purifies all
