Record high numbers of people, including more than 10,000 children, are trapped in temporary homelessness accommodation. The number of open homeless cases also reached the highest level on record, while there was also a rise in reports of rough sleeping. It's despite the Scottish Government declaring a housing emergency in 2024 - and pledging 36,000 affordable homes by 2030.
