DIY Asian Bamboo Peacock Fan

Описание: Our artisan called Priyangika from Sri Lanka shows you in this video how to make an Asian bamboo hand fan out of small bamboo sticks, a piece of metal and colourful origami craft paper with a peacock design on it. The process starts by cutting the bamboo into strips, making a hole in each one at the end and then by putting a small metal coil through the hole to connect them all together.

Then the bamboo sticks can be separated as the fan opens, then they are glued to the craft paper and with scissors you have to simply cut around the fan. After that stick down the other side of the paper and press the paper onto the bamboo sticks to create a strong bond. Then you will have a quirky handmade bamboo fan that will be great for the summer months. This design has been simplified for the sake of the video, higher quality fans are available on our website.
