The origins of "Juventud Argentina" can be traced back to the early 20th century, when Argentina was experiencing a period of great social and political change. In 1913, the Argentine government created the Dirección General de Educación Física (General Directorate of Physical Education) in order to promote sports and physical activity among young people as a means of strengthening the nation's health, morale, and national identity.
