Описание: "Promenade In Green", also named "Green, Green Rocky Road", is a song called "traditional"(first melody,1922). In 1950, it was collected from the children of Lilly's Chapel School in York, Alabama. It's a ring-game: the children form a circle, the leader in the center, they sing "Green, green", the leader answers "Rocky road", chooses a person, and the group sings the first line of the verse, naming the child selected. And so on .... This song was performed by many folk singers in the 60s (among them, Tim Hardin, as "Green Rocky Road", 1966). Rick released it in November 1967, album "Another Side Of Rick", and in March 1968, Single Decca, B-Side. As with all traditional songs, each singer writes his own lyrics. Rick, with John Boyland, rewrote and reorchestrated it. He said : "....it's one of my special favorites....It mentions our little girl, Tracy and our little twin boys, Matthew and Gunnar, as well as my brother Dave's little boys, Danny and Jamie".(I'd especially like to thank Tracy for some of her photos).
