Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Sylvania LED 9,006 headlight bulbs. When looking into getting 9,006 bulbs, you want to remember that the 9,006 bulb is a proprietary for a low beam application. It does not have a dual function. That would be a 9,005 if you're looking around that same size and style. For example, our 9,000, or our high beams on our Grand Prix here is gonna be a 9,005, and our low beams are gonna be a 9,006.

So it just kind of goes to show you that vehicles that have separate lights, a lot of GM products have those, and typically the older GM products are gonna have separate bulbs for those. So you just wanna keep that in mind. Do not put a 9,006 bulb where 9,005 is supposed to be used and vice versa. When looking into getting a new set of headlights, Sylvania has a couple different levels. You can get into the extra vision, then you can get into the Silver Star, and then you can get into the Silver Star Ultra.

Those are all going to be great options. The Silver Star Ultras are very, very good headlights. They're just not quite going to be LEDs. LEDs are very, very crisp white. They're very bright.

You wanna be careful on how often, or I guess, how intensely you're using them on an on-road use. You want to be cautious to other people on the road. What we actually did with these headlights is, and any time I put LEDs in a vehicle, is you want to try to point the headlights down a little bit, get yourself out on a nice straight road, and aim 'em down a little bit just as a courtesy to those coming at you on the road. And we've got our lights on our door. You can see there's a nice crisp white that's gonna be a 6,000K temperature rating.

Typically, your halogens are gonna be like a 4,300, so it's the more yellow side of the the Kelvin spectrum. But having that 6,000K out on the road, I'm telling you is a night and day difference. It is very, very white, very crisp, and very easy to see things on the road when you're driving. Now, if you've tried a lot of different halogen lights and you just don't like the amount of light that they're putting out, I know that I've personally tried some of the highest quality halogen lights and they are just not enough for what my eyes would like to see when I'm driving. I would highly recommend going with the Sylvania LED Lights.
