If you are going to run EFI you need a high pressure fuel pump. In most cases that involves some sort of in-tank unit. This can make retrofitting EFI to a classic car more challenging. While there are lots of options to modify your tank a simpler option is to put in an auxiliary tank in the car that can house the fuel pump. In this video I compare a DIY fuel tank to an Edelbrock 36031 EFI Sump and discuss why you may choose to go with this sort of tank.
