Описание: The Blue lamp in Aberdeen and Martin Raitt's 'Almost Blue' nights have always been a second homecoming show for Ags - I've always wanted to be there for an Aberdeen show, next I'd like to be at an Oxford show at Fat Lils and perhaps in Austin that would complete the holy trinity for this pilgrim.

Aberdeen did not disappoint, here is a flavour - a good house, all folks with an educated Country Music ear from all over, including, a table full of Shetlanders who jumped a flight to be there, Scottish Country Royalty showed up in the person of John Miller having driven up from Glasgow, we had all the makings of a classic show, a candle lit iconic venue, a guitar and a master song writer an authentic night to it's Country Music beating heart, we could have been in Austin on Congress Avenue at The Luminaire.

This is a great listening room and an audience who came to listen, hanging on ever well chosen word, every killer line, soaking up every articulated emotional concept, through age old story in the classic Country tradition as is Ags's hallmark.

Ags had taken the high road on May 4 2025 to start his current tour and I joined him for 2 different types of nights one a City Center fan driven well established Americana tour circuit show series the other a broadcast driven rural house concert for our Roondhoose TV Sessions at the extraordinary TPot Studio at The Path of Condie on top of the spectacular Ochill Hills in deepest Perthshire.

Ags Connolly is highly valued as one of the best singer-songwriters in the genre to emerge from the UK. He is known for his commitment to traditional country roots in a time when pop and rock-influenced country is popular.

His albums have received critical acclaim, with "Wrong Again" named Album Of The Year at the 2020 UK Country Music Awards. Publications like Country Music People have described him as a "national treasure" and "the best singer-songwriter in the country field that this country has ever turned out."
