Healthy Rice Pilaf
This is such an easy yet delicious side dish that goes with practically everything! You can add veggies to it as well, such as peas or chopped broccoli. I love cooking my rice pilaf in the Kettle & Fire Chicken Broth & seasoning it with some Dan-O’s to keep the sodium low! You can find both at your local Kroger 🤗
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 tbsp butter
½ cup orzo
½ cup jasmine rice or rice of choice
1/2 small yellow onion, diced
2 cups of Kettle & Fire Chicken Broth @kettleandfire

INSTRUCTIONS:
In a large deep skillet, melt the butter and add the orzo & rice. Cook until golden brown. Add the onion & garlic. Cook until transparent. Add the chicken broth, bring to a boil and then simmer, covered, for 15-20 minutes. Turn off the heat, fluff it up, and enjoy!
One serving is 1/3 cup of cooked rice pilaf
