The Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, has called on Nigerian media organizations to demonstrate patriotism in their reportage and support the military in the fight against terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.
Speaking at the Third Quarter 2025 Media Stakeholders Seminar in Maiduguri, themed “Consolidating Media-Military Synergy for Sustainable Peace in Nigeria,” the CDS — represented by Maj. Gen. Markus Kangye — emphasized the critical role of the media in promoting national unity, peace, and democratic values.
He also reaffirmed the military’s dedication to safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while recognizing the sacrifices made by Nigerian troops in volatile regions.
