Join me, SHOWBO, on a wild and unforgettable adventure deep in the jungles of Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir! Today was Friday, and after offering Jumma prayers and enjoying a hearty meal, I set off into the forest to search for Morel Mushrooms — known locally as Gucchi — a rare and valuable natural herb found only during this special season.
But what started as a peaceful mushroom hunt turned intense when a mysterious jungle insect (possibly a wild mosquito or forest parasite) bit me and burrowed into my skin! The pain was real, and the experience was unlike anything I’ve faced before in the wilderness.
Despite the unexpected twist, I managed to collect some precious morels and returned home just before a sudden hailstorm hit the valley — adding even more drama to the day.
