Bob compares the unreleased Durabook R8 tablet to other rugged tablets currently available. The R8 is a small and lightweight tablet that weighs 1.9 pounds. Meanwhile, given its larger screen, the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 weighs about 2 pounds. The FZ-G1 only has one USB port, an HDMI out port, an upgrade slot for a bar-code reader, an extra USB, or a NIC port. The Durabook does not have this option. When it comes to the Getac F110, it ends up being lighter than the FZ-G1, and of course, the R8 is lighter than the F110. Even though the R8 is more negligible, it still has a big processor. Moving on to the Dell 7220, this tablet has a few programable buttons. The ports on this tablet include a power port, a couple USB ports, and a USB C port, to name a few. In all, the R8 is a smaller, affordable, brand-new tablet that comes with a 3-year warranty when purchased.
