Inhabitants of Beni near the Virunga park are fleeing the zone following the gruesome massacre of Saturday night.
The attack linked to Ugandan ADF rebels, caused 51 deaths.
Joseph Kabila had visited the few days before it happened during which he promised that measures will be taken to ensure stability in the area.
Similar observations were made by Congolese prime minister Matata Ponyo after the attack occurred.
