The town of Giyani, in the Mopani district in Limpopo, continues to experience heavy downpours.
Parts of the road linking Phalaborwa and Giyani have been flooded.
Some community members at Maswanganyi village were trapped for hours as strong rains fell in the area on Friday morning.
A total of nine people have lost their lives since the heavy downpours started.
