Checking out Blackpool's seafront back in the summer, we came across one of many abandoned hotels. This one we managed to get inside was called New Hacketts Hotel, (previously named Hacketts York House Hotel).
This four storey former seafront hotel comprised of 100 en-suite bedrooms and two function rooms. The former 3 star hotel underwent a refurbishment throughout 2015 and 2016 but has been abandoned since 2018, when it was put up for sale for £1.5 million. Unfortunately in December last year (2020) the hotel was subject to an arson attack which as you can see from this video, destroyed most of the top floor of the building. The building is still looking for new owners to this day.
