An 11 mile walk from Coneysthorpe, circling the Castle Howard Estate and taking in several of the sites biuldings/monuments.
The route initially heads south passing to the east of the Great Lake and then reaching The Temple and the Mausoleum before continuing south to Welburn. From Welburn the route reaching the southern ridge and then turns west towards the Monument next to Bulmer Hag wood. The route continues on west to Bulmer before bearing north east and heading through Brandrith Wood to the Stray and the Gate House. Here the route returns north along the Stray past the Obelisk back to the start.
