Everything isn’t always what it seems!
Even our behind-the-scenes doesn’t capture the rollercoaster that was this Thunderbird seat recovery. 😅
I think any upholsterer can admit that projects aren’t always straightforward — and the rarer and older the car, the more that can hold true. Even with a kit.
Kit and fit rhyme but the guys didn’t find them to correspond as well this go-round. However, what a wonder it was to watch them persevere!
Very little of the finished product was from the kit. The layers of foam tell a bit of the story. And the team’s dedication saw to it that this story ended with an exclamation point rather than question mark. Safe to say there’s a lot of pride in craftsmanship behind this bay door!
