An unusual protest was witnessed in Cuttack’s CDA Petanala drain, where members of Subhas Sangathan entered the drain and staged a unique demonstration against Barabati-Cuttack MLA Sofia Firdous over the delay in the restoration of the Petanala.

Protesters alleged that sewer water from across Cuttack city flows through this drain, and due to poor maintenance and blockage, the city often faces waterlogging problems. The organization claimed that despite repeated promises from leaders, including former MLA Mohammed Moquim, the issue remains unresolved.
