She went on to have an awakening at forty. The time of transition from the old traditional teachings to what God was now revealing to her became sometimes very uncomfortable when, in expressing her beliefs, she met with entrenched opposition from fellow church members. However, Bracy Wevers learned to roll with the punches, a tactic which is justified in the proverb “You Can Take a Horse to Water but You Can't Make It Drink”.
