It was an incredible tournament for him although the dream run did end in the final where Anders Antonsen was a bit too experienced and sharp.

But Christo reaching the final wasn't the only thing that happened in Rennes.

We saw Feng Yan Zhe and Huang Dong Ping reach their 3rd consecutive final in 3 weeks, winning title number 2. Incredible consistency and an incredible feat considering how hard the conditions have been on this European tour.

We saw a men's doubles final between the current best two pairs in the world, Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae vs Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.

And we also saw the last dances for 2 phenomenal female doubles players - Chae Yu Jung and Chen Qing Chen.
