Dog/ Cat? Skin prick test confirms and differentiates if it is Pet allergy or the most common allergy-Dust mite allergy or any other form of allergy. Everybody is not allergic to pets!
CAT Allergy is more common and severe than dog allergy! Cat allergens are carried across distances; one could not have a cat and still be "CAT ALLERGIC". If one is positive to pet allergy one should avoid allergen environment.
WHAT TO DO?
Do we get rid of the Pets? First get allergy tested. Early exposure to pets may protect from pet allergies.
If one is positive to Pet allergy: What should one do?
STEPS TO BE TAKEN
TO OVERCOME PET ALLERGY, Don't allow Pet in Bedroom; or onto beds and furniture
Wash sticky Pet allergen surfaces
Vacuum clean pet hair
Bathe and Clean pets regularly
If Nothing works: Give up the cat/dog
