► Jace and Clary || We are fire

I've heard that many people have a theory about Jace and Clary being siblings and being related. And that they find it gross and all that because how you could love your sibling in that way. And now I'm going to tell you the whole sibling story. So if you didn't read the books go away and do not read further.

So the question is: Are Clary and Jace related or not and the answer is: Yes and No. I mean, while reading the books Clace becomes the biggest power couple in history and it was horrible for me to read at the end of City of Bones that they shall be related. It's a horrible plot line to read and yet it is what makes the story so interesting. Otherwise it would've have been way too mainstream: two characters fall in love, come together and live happily ever after? Boring, right?!
But Jace and Clary aren't really siblings. Seriously that'd be horrible. And while reading the books you never truly believe in your heart that they are, because it just does not make sense...but in a way it does. It's horrible to read how your favorite Characters suffer through this. I still suffer when I read it again, even though I know they're not related. So, Valentine is Clarys real father but not Jace's real father, his real father is Stephen Herondale. Valentine raised Jace after he killed Jace's real parents (Stephen Herondale and Celine...), so he was kinda a father for Jace, because Valentine taught Jace all is fighting and how he thinks about emotions and taught him Jace's ideals. Valentine is kinda a father figure for Jace because he was raised by him for the first 10 years of his life until he came to the Lightwoods. But as a child Jace never knew that it is Valentine, who raised him and taught him all that, because Valentine told Jace that he is Micheal Wayland (that's why he thinks he's a Wayland). Valentine pretended that he died in a fire, still disguised as Michael Wayland (whom he killed too). That's why Jace thinks his father, 'Michael Wayland' is dead. Secretly, Valentine gave Jace angel blood which made him special and gave him all the skills normal Shadowhunters haven't. But during that time he also raised his real child Jonathan (Sebastian) whom he gave demon blood. And Sebastian is Clarys real brother not Jace. But all this comes out in the third and the fourth book so Clary and Jace think for some time that they are siblings because Sebastian is never mentioned until the third book. So Valentine lies to them to wreck them.
