At Tel Aviv University in Israel, a research team led by Professor Tal Dvir created the world’s first 3D-printed heart using a patient’s own cells.

This small heart is not full-size yet, but it works like a real organ.
This is a major medical breakthrough, because:
No plastic or artificial material
Completely made from human cells
Printed exactly according to a patient’s biological structure
This means the body is less likely to reject it.
