Hello everyone!

As an improvement for a project to mechanized the young coconut stripping process, we have designed and develop this semi automatic coconut stripping machine.

In this set up, we are using a 4.6Volts cordless screw driver to run a special designed coconut stripper. Unlike the stripper used in manual process, this stripping tool is a concave type with embossed holes and welded to a shaft. The clamping mechanism is consist of a 12VDC power supply plug into a 220VAC power source and a 12VDC linear actuator. The linear actuator is connected to a pointed shaft that pushed into the coconut husk. This pointed shaft is inserted into a 1/2" diameter pipe which served as the guide during forward and reverse movement. The guide has limit switches on each end which protects the linear actuator from over extending that will result to collision.

This machine can improve the productivity of those entrepreneurs involved in coconut business. In particular, the labor cost can be decreased based on the design and mechanism of the machine.
