Igor Netto's performance is quite understated when compared to Yashin, who was referred to as being the USSR's hero at the first ever European Championship. His defensive performance was top class, and to stop such great attacking players as Milan Galic, Bora Kostic, and Dragoslav Sekularac aptly demonstrates his defensive qualities.
Netto is a great player on the ball, and he's a strong weapon for any team going forward, but sadly, in this match, he was mainly used to stop Yugoslavia from playing their football rather than allowing the USSR to play their own game. Still, though, enjoy this awesome defensive performance from a Russian legend.
