ନୀଳାବତୀ ଗିରି । ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବାଇଗଣ ବାଡ଼ିଆ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ରୋଷେୟା ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି । ଏହା ସହିତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଘରେ କାମ କରି କଷ୍ଟେମଷ୍ଟେ ପରିବାର ଚଳାନ୍ତି । ତେବେ କଷ୍ଟ ଅର୍ଜିତ ରୋଜଗାରରୁ କିଛି କିଛି ଟଙ୍କା ପୋଷ୍ଟ ଅଫିସରେ ଟଙ୍କା ଜମା କରିଥିଲେ । ନିଜର ଘର ନଥିବାରୁ ପଲିଥିନ ଘେରା ଛପର ତଳେ ରହୁଛନ୍ତି ନୀଳାବତୀ । ଆଶା କରିଥିଲେ ନିଜର ସଞ୍ଚିତ ଟଙ୍କାରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଘର କରିବେ । ମାତ୍ର ପୋଷ୍ଟ ଅଫିସ ଜମା ଖାତାରେ ଆଉ ଟଙ୍କା ନାହିଁ । ତାଙ୍କ ଅଜାଣତରେ କିଏ ତାକୁ ହଡ଼ପ କରି ନେଇଛି ।
Neelabati Giri works as a cook at the Baigan Badia Primary School in Balasore district. Alongside this, she also works in people’s homes and manages her family with great difficulty. From her hard-earned income, she had been saving small amounts of money in a post office account.
As she does not own a house, Neelabati lives under a thatched roof covered with polythene sheets. She had hoped to build a house with her savings. However, there is no money left in her post office account. Without her knowledge, someone has withdrawn and taken it all.
