About The Film
The original Malombo Jazzmen group was founded in the 60s and consisted of Julian Bahula and Abe Cindi. They began to explore the fusion of contemporary American jazz with what had become known as 'township/ and buily an international reputation. This1977 concert film is performed by the later Malombo duo of Phillip Tabane on flute and guitar and Mabi Thobejane on drums.
