Описание: After 4 weeks of intense composite manufacturing research and development, the team successfully launched its 7.5 ft all custom composite body rocket, Low Altitude Demonstrator LAD-001 "Sparky" at Friends of Amateur Rocketry site in Randsburg, CA. The primary purpose of this launch was to validate advance composite manufacturing practices that will transfer into the team's space-shot rocket, EUREKA-1. Unfortunately, at apogee, both CO2 and black powder ejection systems failed to deploy the chute causing the rocket to freefall down to the ground. Inspecting the rocket after flight, the team found that the deployment issue was due to shear pin failure on the nosecone-mainbody connection.
