Hey friend, welcome back! Love that you're here ♡
Last year, my Dad mentioned that he'd like to go to the sardines festival in Lisbon. We did a bit of research about it and we thought it'd be good to experience that with the parents. So we made it happen! We visited this beautiful city for a few days in the beginning of June which was just the start of the festival. This meant that the city was already decorated but it wasn't as busy yet.
For this first part, we enjoyed walking around the city to one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Lisbon, Alfama. We knew we were going back to that area again so you'll see more of it on the next parts!
Our day ended with an awesome fireworks display during their opening night. It was so unexpected and so magical. I felt like a kid again, enjoying summer nights with my parents and sisters during fiestas in the Philippines. Truly special.
