Some House Republicans, along with Trump, are pressing Senate Majority Leader John Thune to use a talking filibuster to get the SAVE America Act passed in the Senate.
Thune, however, said he doesn’t believe there's enough support to pursue that option right now, so the SAVE America Act continues to sit in the Senate.
Meanwhile, Senate Republicans’ lack of urgency was especially on display Wednesday when Republican Sen. Thom Tillis hosted the annual bipartisan “Doggi Gras” parade in the Hart Senate Office Building which drew outrage online.
