The European Union may introduce sanctions against Poland over its embargo on Ukrainian grain imports. A majority of EU member states have not backed an embargo extension on Ukrainian grain imports after 15 September. Poland may be hit by EU sanctions if it unilaterally extends Ukrainian grain import restrictions after September 15, as per Polish radio station RMF FM. Nearly 20 countries, including Germany, opposed the extension of import restrictions against Ukrainian grain.
