Episode 1 - TFR7 is the very last Austin Healey Works racing Sprite built in Warwick UK by the Donald Healey company in 1969. This car is the last in a series of cars built specifically for the Targa Florio, a 45 mile winding public road race on the Island of Sicily in Italia. This car was the the pinnacle of the Sprite’s development through competitive racing and hosts many innovations that were intended for the consumer version of the Sprite, but sadly never made it into production.
This video is the first in a series which will give you an in-depth and up close look at what Geoff and Donald were envisioning for the Sprites by examining not only this car, but also the very last Le Mans coupe built in the prior year of 1968. The history of these two cars is rich, and the innovations are intriguing. Look for other upcoming episodes in this series
