In Stranger Things Season 5 Episode 1 titled “The Crawl” Hawkins is no longer the sleepy small town we knew. Hawkins has become a military-occupied zone, and Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Erica are forced to navigate life under curfew while the government tries — and fails — to contain the spreading rifts. Eleven has been training hard for her next encounter with Vecna. Meanwhile, Nancy, Robin, and Steve investigate the strange behavior happening across town. When a Demogorgon breaches the Wheeler home, Karen, Ted, Mike, Nancy, and Holly find themselves at the center of a horrifying new threat, proving nothing in Hawkins is safe anymore.

Episode 2 titled “The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler” In the aftermath of the attack, Holly Wheeler’s disappearance sends shockwaves through Hawkins. Mike and Nancy are desperate for answers, Eleven senses something is terribly wrong, and Will begins feeling a familiar presence he hoped was gone forever. Hopper and Joyce, trapped in the quarantine zone, try to uncover what the military is hiding as the gang follows clues that suggest Holly’s disappearance is connected to something lurking behind the rifts. Fear spreads, secrets unravel, and the final season’s mystery deepens fast.
