Xplore The Urban: Mothballed Rosyth Dockyard Branchline and Tunnel

Описание: Hey everyone and welcome to my new series called ‘Xplore The Urban!’

This series will cover abandoned places such as mothballed railways, and other abandoned stuff as well!

Just a quick health and safety tip, if you’re ever considering exploring these kinds of places be AWARE of your surroundings as a lot of those places can be dangerous.

Today we start with the Rosyth Dockyard Branchline which used to allow freight traffic and passenger stock maintenance. This line however, hasn’t been in use since 2010 and has been left to rot for a long time!

It has sadly been prone to over growing vegetation after being neglected and a bit of vandalism too!

I’ve heard discussions about potentially reopening this line but so far nothing has been confirmed.

The most interesting part of this is the tunnel, but it can be a bit dangerous walking through there as it is quite slippery and there are trip hazards such as a long wire laying about!

This was all filmed back in October except for the tunnel which was filmed back in April with a bit of a lower quality phone camera.

At the time of uploading this, there is a site near the line but I don’t know what it’s for so I probably wouldn’t explore this line.
