This is a short video (no sound) of highlights from the April 21, 1979 Stanley Cup Quarterfinal Game 3 between the Boston Bruins and the Penguins in Pittsburgh, won by the Bruins, 2-1.
It is from the film/video collection of WTVJ in Miami and was digitized by the Wolfson Archives at Miami Dade College. I posted it with watermarks; for details on obtaining a clean copy visit [email protected]
Peter McNab scored in the first period off Denis Herron and Rick Middleton tallied in the third for the Bruins, who took a commanding 3-games-to-none lead in the series.
Gary McAdam was the only Penguin to get one past Gerry Cheevers, who made 23 saves.
