What CPE for CPAs can you get for free? Quite a lot actually turns out, just google free CPE for pages and pages of providers, different sites offer free CPE in different fields of study, we'll go over why that is in just a second.

But there's not a lot or sometimes any free CPE in topics or fields of study like accounting, auditing, auditing, ethics, or tax. And there is a reason for that. A lot of times, well, almost all the time, actually, the authors don't want to provide that material for free, because it is a lot more work.

And we'll go into why the free CPE is free in just a second. So bottom line free CPE is free for a reason. So second, where can you get free CPE the quickest? And by far the easiest. And honestly, the fastest is online.

There are a lot of offline providers that offer free CPE. If the provider is not listed on nasbaregistry.org, you can also check your state board because there are a lot of CPE providers free and otherwise, they only operate in one or two states, they're local, especially if they're in-person CPE, they may not want to, you know go around the country offering their material. Plus they don't want the hassle and expense of registering with NASBA.
