Sony Xperia 1 VII - 3.5mm jack in 2025/S25 Ultra rival, but with a battery smaller than Honor GT Pro

Описание: Although it's one of the most expensive non foldables on the market in 2025 in its class, the Sony Xperia 1 VII comes without a charger, without a charging cable and without any kind of protective case in the box. The box itself... is made of recycled cardboard, which is environmental friendly. This is actually the most minimalistic phone box that I have unboxed ever since Samsung.
The upgrade to the last year's Xperia 1 VI is only in the bigger macro lens sensor and the little brighter display, as well as some AI tweaks on the camera settings.
The phone has slightly thick bezel frame and the display doesn't cover the whole upper surface, but there is and advantage - no camera notch on the display.
The bezel frame and the back cover have some distinguishing texture, which you will either hate ot like. The phone seems very comfortable nto hold anyway.
The 5000mAh battery itself is not the biggest, as there is already Honor GT Pro with 7200mAh or Honor Power with 8000mAh but... that's that is way it is. The charger is same as in 2024 - only 30W, disappointing for those of you, who like modern 100W Chinese bricks. The phone supports witeless charging, and yes, it has a Micro SD slot, together with 3.5mm jack - maybe the only one in its high class wuth those 2 extras, which makes it distinguishing and those of you who don't like Bluetooth headphones will appreciate this extras. All that above you receive at the price of a Samsung S25 Ultra. So is it worth the upgrade to last year's model, what do you think? Tell me in the comments!
