Padma Odzer Choeling Secondary School was started in 2001 in the name of the Human Development Foundation Of Sikkim at Chongay Tar, East Sikkim. It started with a building and a few students. Now it has grown into a Secondary School with the latest facilities. It is affiliated to the Central Board Of Secondary Education(CBSE) board, New Delhi. Children come from all parts of Sikkim and presently the school has an enrolment of 400+ children. The School was formally inaugurated by the Ambassador of Switzerland to India His Excellency Mr. Walter B. Gyger on 6th April 2003.
