This video is an introduction to the Synergy Aircraft project from April 2012. Synergy is a very advanced aircraft design that uses six important principles of drag reduction, including powered drag reduction, to provide a quiet, roomy, and fuel efficient modern aircraft experience.
This video shows the work of John McGinnis and his family, volunteers, partners, and supporters to build the first full scale prototype of his novel 'double boxtail' configuration. Synergy seats at least five people and is intended to become a kit aircraft using molded construction. The flying prototype also shown is an electric powered 25% scale model.
