The 1991 Austin Yogurt Shop Murders case centers on the deaths of four teenage girls at a North Austin yogurt shop on Dec. 6, 1991: Jennifer Harbison, Sarah Harbison, Eliza Thomas and Amy Ayers.
In today’s Travis County hearing, prosecutors and defense attorneys are asking State District Judge Dayna Blazey to declare four original suspects innocent: Michael Scott, Robert Springsteen, Maurice Pierce and Forrest Welborn.
Austin police linked the murders to serial killer Robert Eugene Brashers using DNA evidence and officials say he acted alone.
